The Auberge Beach Residences and Spa in Fort Lauderdale has been eagerly anticipated ever since it was announced. Consisting of a pair of buildings in glass standing twenty and fourteen stories, the buildings overlooking the beach collectively have 171 units. Each of these incredible residences has at least 1,500 square feet of living area, and we are happy to report that construction on the northern tower has officially begun!
Occupying the former home of the Ireland Inn, Auberge Beach Residences and Spa is expected to open in 2017. More than 80 percent of the currently under construction north tower is already under contract, with sales for the southern tower already underway. Prices for the units range between $1.4 million to $9 million.
The construction of Auberge Beach Residences and Spa represents a shift from the building boom in Miami to Broward County now that sales in the former have slowed. Many new projects have been announced throughout the county, including the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale, the Gale Boutique Hotel & Residences, Paramount Fort Lauderdale, and Sabbia Beach in the city of Pompano Beach. Typically, prices for condos in Broward are about a third less per square foot than they are in Miami.
